Is this event a "run/walk"?
Yes. Walkers are welcome, and each year we have a fair number of non-runners who support the race with their participation. The course will be open for 1 hour to accommodate those who desire to walk. After that, the street barricades will be removed. Walkers can still continue along the sidewalks to the finish line.
Are dogs and baby strollers permitted?
Baby strollers and baby joggers are allowed but dogs are not allowed. For safety, those with baby strollers and joggers will begin behind runners at the rear.
Are bicycles, in-line skates, roller skates, and other wheeled vehicles allowed?
No; only wheelchairs.
My kid(s) are not registered but they want to walk or run with me. Is that ok?
Sorry – only those who are registered are permitted on the race course.
The College Church Commons has roughly 125 free parking places while adjoining Wesley Street can hold about 30 cars. There is a parking lot immediately North of the College Church building. Wheaton College has also allowed us to utilize the Edman Chapel parking lot, approximately 2 blocks North of College Church. Clare Woods school at the corner of Main and Cross street is also available.
Where do I park? Will there be enough space?
Yes, a fully equipped E.M.T. is at the Commons and can quickly get to anyone on the course if needed. The Wheaton Police are also situated at major intersections along the course. The EMT will have ice, adhesive bandages, band-aids, etc.
