Run For The Stars is a fast-growing and respected 5k event in the western suburbs of Chicago. It’s a popular race now in its 7th year and is part of the annual Summer Celebration for the community.
We made a number of enhancements for 2010 to give runners and sponsors an even better experience including:
- Short sleeve technical shirt for adults and kids
- D Tag chip timing by ChronoTrack
- Bib raffle for a week at the Caribbean island of St. Maarten and other prizes
- Beautiful commemorative custom cast medals for all who place
- Team competition for teams of 4 based upon average time
- Aid station at 1.5 mile mark features water and enthusiastic volunteers
- USATF certified course (#IL-07090-JW); course is fast and flat (except for uphill finish!)
- The only race where 18+ notables like Todd Beamer lived on or near the course
- Awards 3 deep in standard CARA age groups
With all this, make Run For The Stars a must on your 2010 race calendar. Registration opens on March 1. Tech shirts and D tag chip timing are guaranteed for the first 500 who register, so don’t miss out! Discount for early registration and CARA members.
