The 2010 race includes some exciting changes:

Want to help? We welcome volunteers of all ages! We provide the training, and you’ll help a fun, family-friendly race which benefits the disabled, plus you’ll receive a quality short sleeve shirt custom-designed just for our volunteers!
Considering a service project for your family, Bible study group, running club? Refreshments provided for all volunteers. Here are areas where you can assist:
Process pre-registrations and on-site sign-ups, distribute race packets, timing devices and race shirts to runners at the Commons on Thursday, June 10 or Friday, June 11. Available time slots each day: 8am-2pm or 2pm-9pm.
(2 people per shift; 4 per day; 8 total needed).
Attention early risers! Drink your coffee while helping process race day registrations, distribute race packets, timing devices and race shirts to runners at the Commons on Saturday June 12 from 6am-7:45am. And then you can run or walk the race yourself!

Answer general runner and spectator questions on Saturday June 12 from 6:30-9:30.

Direct drivers to the Commons parking lot and then to the race area. (4 people needed)
Help runners focus on the race and not their stuff by staffing the gear & bike check area. Runners can store their gear and bicycles at no cost in a secured area until the race is over.

On the course, you’ll point runners in the right direction, watch for motor vehicles, monitor the safety of runners, and most importantly, cheer on the participants!

Serve water and Gatorade to runners on the course during the race and then cleanup the area afterward

Serve food and drinks to the runners after the race.

Help with set-up of the starting line banner, finish line chute, direct finishers to food and refreshments

Assist in the coordination of this popular short run for the disabled
